Client Story: Freelance Account Director

Want to hear more from a Freelance Account Director I worked with? Here is more about what they had to say about the coaching experience:

What were you looking for from coaching?

I was looking for personal relationship advice. I wanted to gain some perspective, advice, clarity and reassurance from someone who I trust outside of my relationship / friendships and family.

What initially attracted you to work with me as your coach?

I have previously worked with Beth and left our last coaching experience feeling positive and clearer in my thoughts, so I wanted to re-visit working with her on what I was going through in life currently. I always feel like I'm in a safe space when working with Beth, without judgement.

What's changed in your life since we started coaching?

I feel a lot clearer in my thoughts and understanding different perspectives and what actually really matters in a relationship. I was struggling with overthinking , anxiety and creating scenarios in my head that weren't true and then reacting emotionally on those thoughts and feelings. Although I still have moments like this, I've become better at managing and controlling thoughts, feelings and reactions by remembering the processes Beth has taught me. I'm also actively trying to put more focus on myself and my own growth.

What's the biggest mindset shift (or key takeaway) you've had from our work together?

That being confident in yourself and focusing on you and avoiding comparison generally helps to change your relationship for the better and how you feel in yourself. Reminding yourself what makes you different and why someone chooses to be with you. This might be an obvious thing to do, but it takes practice and focusing on not letting negative thoughts and feelings completely consume me and reacting on them is a big part of maturing in a relationship and growing in yourself. Not seeking reassurance from others too frequently is also a key takeaway.

What would you say to someone who's thinking of reaching out to me for coaching?

Beth is a fantastic coach and is someone who you can really feel at ease with whatever the matter is. Extremely kind and very up front with ensuring you don't feel judged and that you really can use the space to say whatever you feel you need to. She's a great listener and will absorb all info and pick moments to challenge you or ask you specific questions about your situation that help to better clarify your thoughts. Beth is really great at helping you compartmentalise things and provides you with processes you can use in day to day life when faced with situations that you can think about and action. She's also great at bringing you back to the bigger picture and reminding yourself why you're in coaching and what you want out of it at the end.
